Hero Motor Corp is increasing the prices of motorcycles and scooters. The revised price will be effective from July 3. The price hike will be around 1.5 percent and will vary depending on the model, the company said. In April this year too, the company had increased the prices of the vehicles.
Hero MotoCorp says that it is now increasing the prices of motorcycles and scooters as part of a price review. The reason for the price increase is the high cost of construction. Hero also announced that more innovative financing will be introduced for customers to mitigate the impact of the price hike.
The company hopes to increase its market share by achieving significant sales in the upcoming festive season. Hero Passion Plus was re-launched a few days ago. This model was discontinued three years ago with the introduction of BS VI norms. The new Passion Plus has been launched at an ex-showroom price of Rs 76,065.
Along with the Passion Plus, the Extreme 160 4V was launched as its new premium commuter motorcycle. The Extreme is priced between Rs 1.27 lakh and Rs 1.36 lakh.
American premium motorcycle manufacturer Harley-Davidson in collaboration with Hero will launch the X440 on July 3. Meanwhile, Hero is gearing up for a price hike.
