A hero, whose identity might not be determined, stood up to the Sydney attacker who in the middle of a Bondi Junction shopping center began chasing and stabbing people who crossed his path. The massacre left six people dead and multiple injured.
This anonymous man tried to stop the attacker on an escalator with a kind of stool. His brave act was recorded thanks to the fact that, in the midst of the horror, a person, who was on the upper floor where the attack began, managed to record everything with his cell phone.

In one of the videos you can see the exact moment in which this man confronted him while giving the rest of the people time to flee.
In another of the recordings made by witnesses, you can see how the attacker, totally out of his mind, began to run, chase and attack anyone who crossed his path with the knife he was carrying in his right hand. Even though the shopping center was full of kids, he didn’t care to spread horror and fear throughout the place.
According to witnesses, the attacker was carrying a 30-centimeter knife. Eight people, including a baby, were rushed to nearby hospitals.
The police quickly arrived at the scene and ordered the shopping to close. After an intense search, an officer from the Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command confronted the attacker and killed him in the middle of a shootout. Although the causes of the attack are unknown, authorities do not rule out that it was a terrorist attack.

Some security cameras on the site and footage of shoppers who were in the shopping center managed to capture the aggressor. In the images, he can be seen wearing a sports shirt and shorts walking with the cutting element in his right hand.
A man who was walking through the shopping mall at the time of the incident told the Nine News portal that the murderer “seemed scattered and chaotic.” Furthermore, he pointed out that he did not have a specific victim, but rather carried out the attacks randomly.
