SPÖ remains represented in Europe with an excellent team – Sidl remains Lower Austria’s strongest voice in Europe
St. Pölten (OTS) – SPÖ-NÖ state party chairman Sven Hergovich and SPÖ-NÖ state manager Wolfgang Zwander congratulate Günther Sidl on being elected to third place on the EU list with 98.63 percent approval at the SPÖ federal party conference in Graz – as well as all those elected on the list led by top candidate Andreas Schieder and the Vice President of the European Parliament, Evelyn Regner, in first and second place.
“Günther Sidl is and remains Lower Austria’s strongest voice in Europe and will continue to work with utmost commitment to ensure that the heart of European politics wears the color red in the best possible way,” said Hergovich and Zwander.
“The EU must finally show how it is there for the people. This is only possible through targeted combating of inflation, climate protection requirements with a social sense of proportion and a return to the precautionary thinking that has shaped our health and social systems for decades,” emphasizes Sidl, who is working with the young team from Lower Austria to counteract the further shift to the right in the EU wants: “I’m running in the EU elections because I don’t want to leave our common Europe to the constant bad-mouthers – I’m running to further develop our Europe for the better!”
The other SPÖ NÖ candidates are all between 20 and 33 years old and represent – alternating between men and women – all Lower Austrian regions:
