In addition to the Covid-19 pandemic, influenza and bronchiolitis epidemics have affected our country for several weeks. But how do you know if you are affected? And how to escape it? We explain to you.
Recognize them well
Stuffy nose, fever, fatigue, headache… the symptoms of these three diseases are similar. Remember that for Covid-19, the main symptoms are a runny nose, sore throat, headache, persistent cough and fatigue. Loss of smell is also an obvious symptom. If you suffer from the flu, on the other hand, it is likely that in addition to these symptoms (fatigue, headaches, etc.), you will have a high fever (around 39ºC). Fever is indeed often higher with the flu, while sore throats are more intense with Covid. Finally, bronchiolitis mainly affects young children. Runny nose, cough, shortness of breath up to difficulty in breathing and wheezing are signs that your child is affected by this infection.
Reduce risk
The viruses responsible for these three diseases are transmitted by droplets emitted by coughing or sneezing but also by direct contact with the hands of an infected person or an object they have touched. This is why it is better to apply the barrier gestures to the letter if you want to avoid getting sick!
Among them, of course, we find the wearing a mask, particularly in confined spaces such as public transport or in the presence of fragile people. Also avoid handshakes and hugs. To say hello, better keep your distance. It is also advisable to wash one’s hands frequently. Finally, be sure to ventilate parts and sneeze or cough into your elbow.
Think regarding it, these gestures might well save you from getting sick!
