You thought the race for the craziest ways to beat Elden Ring was going to stop? Sorry, she just carried over to Armored Core 6, FromSoftware’s new action video game.
After its unanimous critical and popular success, Elden Ring ignited a spark of madness among players: many threw themselves the craziest challenges, hoping to complete FromSoftware’s action-RPG! You can find everything: replacing a controller with a dance mat (or even the Guitar Hero controller), not dying or not equipping yourself with armor. Of course, with the recent arrival of Armored Core 6, a new title from the Japanese studio, more challenge fans have woken up. Why not complete the adventure without using a single gun?
One fist is all
This challenge is that of “Zero Lenny”, a videographer who peaks at 300,000 subscribers on YouTube. It’s quite a challenge here: in Armored Core, the player pilots a 100% customizable mech – and firearms are a big part of the gameplay and how to overcome the various obstacles that await you. In theory, there are four at your disposal (two on the shoulders and two on the arms) and when they are absent, the robot strikes with its fists. After a few hours, it is also possible to have a kick. The creator recounts this adventure for 30 minutes.
An adventure that begins in the worst way. In the first mission of Armored Core 6, your mecha is necessarily equipped with firearms. Zero Lenny has therefore found an original technique (and particularly slow) to circumvent the problem: rush on enemies using the “rush” – a kind of boost that inflicts very light damage… Enough to make the very first boss very complicated, just like the second (a big tank equipped with impenetrable front armour) or the “Smart Cleaner”, an iron monster with a tiny weak point. Fortunately, Zero Lenny discovered benefits with this technique, especially with regard to endurance. And you know what ? He managed to complete the adventure as well. As a reminder, Armored Core has been available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series since August 25. We gave it a well-deserved 17/20.
