The 13th edition of the “Semaine du Son” will take place from January 30 to February 12. Different free cultural activities will take place in the three linguistic regions of the country. Among the new partner places are the Museum of Fine Arts in Tournai, the Museum of Folklore and Border Life (MUSEF) in Mouscron and the Kapel Romaanse Poort in Louvain.

The voice will be at the heart of this 2023 edition of Sound Week. “What is the role of the human voice in a world increasingly dominated by technology? What are the possibilities of our own voice? What are the different voices around us that we can learn to listen to? How can the voices of those we hear too rarely be heard? How can we capture and record voices?” asks the organizing team in its press release.
On the program, concerts by established and emerging artists, performances, sound installations, conferences and tours will be offered. In addition to the new cultural venues mentioned above, the Delta de Namur, the Alba de Charleroi, the Auditorium Abel Dubois and Het Bos in Antwerp will open their doors to the public. the complete program is detailed on the official website of the event.
