Supererogatory prayers or “Nafila” are highly recommended during the month of Ramadan. These prayers are not obligatory as is the fast of the month of Ramadan for the Muslim but has assured benefits, as taught by the Prophet Muhammad (PSL).
In his book Huratul Hayni, Serigne Souhaibou Mbacké listed prayers to follow for the whole month of Ramadan. For the 2nd night of Ramadan, he advises making 6 rakkas. Each rakka should be accompanied by a fatiha and 10 Al Kawssar suras.
