The Mustache Petit Weekend FS EQ is a slightly modified version of its big brother, the Weekend 27 FS Dual EQ. Here, the idea is to offer a slightly less durable and lighter model, all at a lower price, but still expensive.
The French manufacturer Mustache is fine-tuning its range of electric bikes, without messing it up either. For this end of the year, and as relayed eBike News, the Vosges brand has added a new addition to its catalog. This is the Petit Weekend FS EQ, belonging to the Samedi 27 range and considered the little brother of the Weekend 27 FS Dual EQ.
Our protagonist of the day shares more or less the same technical sheet as his friend, but opts for a small concession to bring down his price by 1400 euros all the same: the absence of an additional 500 Wh battery, which drops his theoretical autonomy at 116 km instead of 242 km.
Very well equipped
The Petit Weekend FS EQ is therefore content with a single Bosch PowerTube battery of 625 Wh. On the other hand, its weight drops: 26.5 kg, against 29 kg for the Weekend 27 FS Dual EQ. Which still places it in the high range of electric bikes, even if the indulgence is a minimum bet given its range of equipment.
The Petit Weekend FS EQ is indeed generous, with relevant accessories that bring it a nice touch of versatility. For example, the RockShox 35 Gold RL suspension fork (130 mm travel) and the Magic Grip Control rear shock (120 mm) predispose it to off-road riding.
For their part, the luggage rack compatible with a baby carrier and the MIK HD and QL3 standards, as well as the standard tubular mudguards, make it suitable for much more urban use. A Mustache Ortlieb bag with a capacity of 12 L and waterproof is even provided by default by the brand.
An expensive price
You also have to rely on very powerful front lighting, thanks to a Supernova V521 headlight. Without forgetting the best of Bosch: a Performance Line CX mid-motor with 85 Nm of torque, which makes short work of the ribs. Add to that a Shimano 12-speed drivetrain and Shimano BR-M6120 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes.
Sold at 6399 euros all the same, this electric bike is available in four sizes (S, M, L and XL), in pastel green and shiny colors. The frame and fork are guaranteed for 5 years, against 2 years for the battery, the battery (or 500 cycles) and the accessories.
