here is how to protect yourself from the waves emitted by your smartphone

Although limited, the electromagnetic waves emitted by a smartphone have harmful effects in some people. They can cause mild headaches. Fortunately, some simple rules allow you to avoid putting yourself in danger.

Even if the risks are extremely limited, it is always recommended not to expose your body to these waves.

Simple gestures

To do this, all you have to do is adopt simple gestures, such as using a hands-free kit to make and receive calls. This avoids sticking your smartphone to your ear and therefore directly exposing your brain to electromagnetic waves. Better then to favor a wired kit rather than a Bluetooth model, this one also emitting very weak waves.

You should also know that the wave emissions are more important when the network is weak, when the phone is trying to pick up the signal. In this case, except in an emergency, it is better not to make any calls at all. This is particularly the case in transport.

Question mobility, the smartphone in the car is to be avoided, already for questions of security, but also because the passenger compartment retains the waves inside the car. If yours has a dedicated storage compartment, it’s best to leave it in there.

In any situation, when you don’t have to use your smartphone and you’re not expecting an important call, don’t hesitate to activate airplane mode, which will cut off any attempt to connect to a network, cellular or Wireless.

And at night, keep your smartphone as far away from you as possible, the best thing is to turn it off completely. Finally, in all cases, avoid patches and anti-wave shells, the effectiveness of which has absolutely never been proven.

In Europe, the authorized specific absorption rate (SAR) levels are 2 watts per kilogram for the head and trunk and 4 W/kg for the limbs. This corresponds to the part of the energy transported by electromagnetic waves absorbed by the human body which, beyond these limits, might prove to be dangerous.

Although most commercially available smartphones show low scores, some manufacturers are still being fined, such as Xiaomi recently.
