Samsung is making a comeback on the laptop PC market in Europe with a surprising new machine: the Galaxy Book2 Pro / Book2 Pro 360. Before its release scheduled for next April, Samsung is offering really generous pre-order offers, including a 27-inch screen offered in addition to the PC.
The 2022 edition of the MWC was full of surprises. The most unexpected is to be found on the side of Samsung, which announced go back to laptops following having deserted the sector in 2014. Samsung Galaxy Book2 Pro: a high-end ultrabook with OLED screen
First model presented by Samsung, the Galaxy Book2 Pro is a machine that goes directly hunting in the land of ultrabooks. It is one of the most compact ultrabooks on the market with 870 grams on the scale and only 1.11 centimeters thick in its 13.3 inch version.
It nevertheless offers a particularly solid technical sheet which allows it to shine in any office task or productivity application. To achieve this result, Samsung has relied on the latest Intel processors, either 12th generation Core i5 or i7 supplemented by an Intel Iris Xe GPU and up to 32 GB of RAM depending on the model. Beyond performance, this configuration also allows the Galaxy Book2 Pro to be energy efficient and therefore to benefit from excellent autonomy.
To complete this already attractive picture, Samsung has decided to bet on excellence on the display side. It is therefore une by AMOLED Full HD which equips the different models of Galaxy Book2 Pro. Ensuring 120% coverage of the DCI-P3 gamut and having excellent brightness, it offers an excellent quality image. Samsung Galaxy Book2 Pro 360: more flexibility
In broad outline, this Galaxy Book2 Pro 360 resumes to the comma the technical sheet of the Galaxy Book2 Pro. The 12th generation Intel processor is included, as is the choice of RAM (from 8 to 32 GB), the GPU, up to the slab AMOLED Full HD of the screen. The 1080p webcam is also present, as are the connectors, with the exception of the USB-A 3.2 port, which is absent on this model. The difference between these two machines takes place at the level of the screen and more precisely of its hinge. As the “360” present in the name of this machine suggests, we are dealing here with a hybrid PC capable of transforming into a tablet when the need arises.
To achieve this, this Galaxy Book2 Pro 360 can count on a hinge that opens… 360 degrees. The screen is then positioned behind the keyboard to be used flat, like any touch pad. This Laptop is also sold with the S Pen stylus which will allow you to fully exploit this tablet mode, whether to take notes or to draw.
In order to make the user experience as pleasant as possible, Samsung has equipped its Galaxy Book2 Pro with an extremely thin and light chassis.
