Here are the top 20 most downloaded games for PS4 and PS5 in 2021?

Sony has just unveiled the full ranking of the most downloaded games for PS4 and PS5 in 2021 on the PS Store. Here it is.

In recent years, dematerialized games have been on the rise. It is no coincidence that Sony has offered players two models of PS5: one with a disk drive and the other without. Suddenly, each year, there are more and more downloads of games from the PS Store of PlayStation. Sony has therefore just unveiled the top 20 most downloaded games in 2021. We are talking regarding units sold and not the turnover generated.

The great regulars

At the top of the ranking, there are regulars. Games that are used to being at the top of the sales. Because yes, this year once more it is FIFA (here the opus FIFA 22) which is the number one downloads on the PS Store, whether on PS5 or PS4. Football fans are legion and FIFA is quite simply the only valid football game on the market since the demise of PES. And in second position on PS5, we find a Call of Duty, here is the new episode titled Vanguard. And in third place we find… FIFA 21. In short, no surprises for the moment.

In the end, in the top 20 of the PS5, we mainly find large productions used to being at the top of sales: Far Cry 6, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla or NBA 2K22. There are still 2 independent games: Kena: Bridge of Spirits and Among Us. It Takes Two, recently voted game of the year at the Games Awards, is also in the top 20 PS5. Finally, note the 17th place of GTA: The Trilogy which had marked the news when it was released at the end of 2021.
