Here are the details of the 10th International Film Festival in Dakhla

sponsored byKing Mohammed VI​The Association for Cultural and Artistic Revitalization in the Southern Provinces is organizing the tenth edition of the International Film Festival in Dakhla from 16 to 20 June 2022.

This session highlights African cinema through the official competition for the feature film, and the attendance of filmmakers from thirteen African countries: Senegal, Cote d’Ivoire, Nigeria, Ghana, Egypt, Cameroon, Burkina Faso, Tunisia, Rwanda, Chad, Benin, Cameroon and Morocco.
Direction Award, which includes:

Jojo Stories, directed by Apa Te Makama, CJ Phiri Obasi and Michael Omunoa (Nigeria)
– “Amansa Tayafi” by Kofi Ofuso Yeboah (Ghana)
– “Breakable” by Ahmed Rashwan (Egypt)
The Bends, directed by Narcisse Wandji (Cameroon)
– “Anato” by Fatma Ali Boubekdi (Morocco)
– “The Crossing” by Irene Tassimbido (Burkina Faso)
The Night of the Kings – Philippe Lacôte (Ivory Coast)
Juju stories – Abba T Makama, C J ‘Fiery’ Obasi, Michael Omonua (Nigeria)

The International Film Festival in Dakhla honors Moroccan actress Mona Fatto, and the festival honors Moroccan director Jerome Cohen-Olivar. He is the author and director of two well-known films on the world stage: “Quandisha” with international star David Carradine, and “Midnight Orchestra”.
The festival honors Rwandan director and producer Jacqueline Murekeyisoni. The festival will open with the Tunisian film “Halal Cinema” by Tunisian director Amine Boukhris.
A number of documentaries made by the people of the southern provinces of the Kingdom will be shown. On this occasion, a meeting will be organized with the writer and social researcher Ghaith Al-Khayat on the topic of “Culture and Cinema”.
The festival includes a training workshop for members of cinema clubs in the southern provinces before the opening and throughout the festival. During this session, the Moroccan film “30 Million”, directed by Rabie Sajid, will be shown.
