Chaos Erupts in Dinkytown as Fireworks Fly

Witnesses described a scene of utter mayhem, with fireworks exploding in rapid succession, creating a deafening roar and a sense of fear. One employee at Mesa Pizza, who wished to remain anonymous, said, “I’ve seen a lot of crazy stuff here, but I haven’t seen anybody try to injure another person with fireworks yet.”
The Minneapolis Police Department responded with a massive force, deploying over 200 additional officers, along with support from Ramsey County deputies, Minneapolis Park Police, University of Minnesota Police, and the State Patrol. Despite the significant police presence, the situation remained volatile, with individuals continuing to engage in reckless behavior.
