DIRECTORS Kim Jung-sik, Shin Mina, Kim Young-dae, Lee Sang-yi, and Han Ji-hyeon gathered at a press conference in Seoul to discuss their new series, No Gain No Love.
This Korean drama centers on Son Hae-yeong (Shin Mina) who aims to avoid harm in every aspect of her life. She is confronted by her opposite, Kim Ji-uk (Kim Young-dae) who wants to avoid hurting others even at the expense of himself.
The other couple is CEO Bok Gyu-hyun (Lee Sang-yi) who is saturated with love and web novel writer Nam Ja-yeon (Han Ji-hyeon) who is inexperienced in love but very expert in creating love stories.
There’s so much to look forward to with more characters, romance, heart-warming stories, and fun.
No Gain No Love will be available on Prime Video in Indonesia and more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
Here are the reasons why you should watch the Korean drama series No Gain No Love:
1. Queen of Korean Romantic Drama Shin Mina

Korean romantic drama queen Shin Mina is back after 2 years, and it will be her most refreshing role yet. Her supporting cast members have expressed their praise and admiration for the star.
Director Kim Jung-sik shared, “I envisioned the character in this script being played by Shin Mina. I think she’s the only one who can play Hae-yeong.”
Kim Young-dae added, “This was an opportunity to work with Shin Mina, so I didn’t think twice and signed the contract right away. Since I first met Shin Mina, I was very nervous. I’ve enjoyed her work since I was in high school. She’s very famous and beautiful.”

Han Ji-hyeon agreed, saying, “I was so excited and happy to meet Shin Mina. She is my ideal type. It was such a beautiful dream to be able to see her and act with her, after only being able to see her on TV before.”
So much praise and so many reasons to watch Shin Mina in her latest rom-com.

The characters in No Gain No Love are unique and have interesting backgrounds.
Here’s what the actors have to say about their characters.
Shin Mina explained, “Hae-yeong is a rational person and thinks about whether something will harm her. She has her own rules, she is smart, and she is decisive.”
Kim Young-dae introduces, “Ji-uk is a part-time worker at a convenience store. He is the opposite of Hae-yeong because he doesn’t want to hurt others even if he suffers losses.”
Lee Sang-yi shared, “My character is the CEO of KKULBEE Education. He doesn’t believe in love and dating because of his parents. He wants to stay single.”
Lastly, Han Ji-hyeon said, “Ja-yeon has never dated and writes R-rated web novels.”
Each character is different and has a different outlook on love and life. No matter where you fall on the spectrum of characters, you will be able to see perspectives that are similar and different from your own.
3. Diverse Relationships
With such interesting characters, it makes sense that their relationship would be entertaining as well.
Director Kim Jung-sik stated, “The characters are very diverse. The office romance between Ji-uk who doesn’t want to hurt anyone and Hae-yeong who doesn’t want to suffer any loss. There’s also a love story between third-generation chaebol Gyu-hyun who doesn’t have any love cells and Ja-yeon who has been single all her life but is great at writing love stories. There’s a love story that we’ve never seen before.”
Lee Sang-yi added, “There are many fun and different types of relationships such as those who are dating, married, family, siblings, etc. It’s fun to see how these relationships change. You can see many different types of love. Please look forward to it.”
With a rich story of characters and relationships, there will be plenty to enjoy.
4. Relatable and Funny
A true rom-com doesn’t skimp on comedy but balances it with relatability for the audience. Don’t worry because No Gain No Love will bring you the best of both worlds.
Shin Mina shared, “I was drawn to the human part of a relationship. I think it will be very moving to the audience and they will be able to easily relate to it. The script itself is very fun, honest, and bold. Hae-yeong’s lines are very refreshing.”
He further talked about how his character doesn’t hold back and lets out some profanity when necessary.
Director Kim Jung-sik called Shin Mina the queen of comedy and further praised her by saying, “I was surprised at how funny Shin Mina is. You will be surprised. You will be able to see a different side of her.”
Additionally, Lee Sang-yi teased about the comedic scenes he will have with his personal assistant, “My character’s relationship with his personal assistant is like Tom and Jerry. They are like friends and have a really good relationship. My character always calls him.”
5. Unique Love Story & Much More to Look Forward to
And now, on to the romance. No Gain No Love features a unique fake marriage proposal from Hae-yeong so she doesn’t lose out. The proposal gets even wilder when Ji-uk actually accepts.
Things get complicated when Ji-uk ends up working at the same place as Hae-yeong after the fake marriage.
Shin Mina teased, “The fake marriage and office romance between my character and Kim Young-dae is something to look out for. Lee Sang-yi and Han Ji-hyeon’s love story is also very fun.”
Furthermore, No Gain No Love will be available with subtitles in 26 different languages as well as dubbed in 10 different languages on Prime Video. (Z-1)
