Ayleen, a 14-year-old girl, had been missing since July 21 in Gottenheim, southern Germany. The young girl had left her home to go to a friend’s house, who lived 200 meters from her home. The latter’s brother did not open the door to her immediately, but when he went to the door of her home, there was no one there.
Ayleen sent a last Whatsapp message at 6 p.m. and was never heard from once more.
Great resources were deployed by the police to find the teenager. A call for witnesses was also launched in France four days following his disappearance.
The girl’s body was eventually found lifeless in a lake in Reichelsheim, more than 200 kilometers from her home. A 29-year-old man was arrested by police on Monday. He was already known to the judiciary for sexual offenses and would have met Ayleen on social networks.
