Henry Cavill and the series’ Reacher shoot nags. Guy Ritchie’s wartime slasher entertains in gory trailer

Guy Ritchie’s name is no longer associated only with gangsters. It might be said that following the success of Gentlemen, the director of Podfu(c)ku or Bal prachy a vpadni decided to try one genre following another. He offered us the harsh revenge thriller The Angry Man, the spy Operation Fortune: Ruse de guerre or the war drama The Covenant. And it will stay with the war this time too, it will just move a little further into history.

The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare2024

The film The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare takes us to World War II, when British Prime Minister Winston Churchill approved the creation of an unorthodox secret military team. A group of renegades (and a bit of idiots) who are capable of anything, have the task of flooding the Nazis in places where they would not expect it and embarking on the craziest actions. Among them will be Ian Fleming, the future writer and creator of James Bond. Their specific approach then laid the foundation stones for the SAS special forces. After all, the excellent series Pluk Mizerů was created recently on a similar theme. But Ritchie will obviously work with a much bigger budget, better-known actors and, last but not least, also with his typical ferocity and energy. The leader of the whole group will be played by Henry Cavill, who initially presents his typical goofball and nice guy, but when faced with the Nazis, he becomes a crazy killing machine. Alan Ritchson from the series Reacher or the charming Eiza González will then cover his back. The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare: trailer | Lionsgate The stylish and damn entertaining trailer not only attracts the star of The Witcher, but especially Ritchie’s typical directing style and work with editing, which people already fell in love with in his gangster films. We will probably enjoy the event more than enough, but with its comedic concept, the film is still most reminiscent of Infamous Pancharts, as here, too, the team of soldiers will obviously be composed of solid lunatics. And so far it looks like very solid entertainment, which will hopefully not lack the director’s honest craft and obviously not even a large portion of insight. The first trailer, supported by the never-failing Queens, certainly managed to impress.
