France – Thierry Henry, coach of the French Olympic team, announced yesterday, Monday, the final list of his country’s team participating in the football competitions at the Paris 2024 Olympics, which included 18 players in addition to 4 reserve players.
According to the website of Radio Monte Carlo, the list only included three over-age players: Alexandre Lacazette (Lyon), Jean-Philippe Mateta (Crystal Palace) and Loic Badie (Sevilla).
As expected, Kylian Mbappe was absent from the list, as he announced that he would not participate following his new club, Real Madrid, refused to allow its players to participate in the Olympics.
Paris Saint-Germain duo Warren Zaire-Emery and Bradley Barcola were also absent, despite being named in the preliminary list, as they were both involved with Les Bleus in the European Championship.

Goalkeepers: Guillaume Restis, Obed Nkampdio, Theo de Persin.
Defence line: Castillo Lukeba, Bradley Loko, Kylian Sildelja, Adrian Truffert, Songoto Magasa, Chrislan Matsima, Loic Badie.
Midfield: Magnus Akliuch, Enzo Milot, Desiree Douai, Manu Kone, Joris Chautard, Andy Diouf, Leslie Ugochukwu.
Attack line: Arnaud Kalimuendo, Jean-Philippe Mateta, Michael Olise, Alexandre Lacazette, Ryan Cherki.
The French national team will begin its journey once morest the United States on July 24, in Group 1, which also includes Guinea and New Zealand.
