On August 20, Hengshan County Yiling Yifeng Charity Association held its 2024 Members’ Meeting and Autumn Student Aid Activities, distributing more than 130,000 yuan in scholarships and grants to 143 students. Deputy County Mayor Zhou Xiaobing attended the event.
At the meeting, the head of the public welfare association reported on the association’s work progress and annual plan; representatives of the assisted students shared their mental journeys in turn, expressing that they would live up to their youth, turn every bit of kindness into motivation for self-improvement and hard work in learning, strive to return home after completing their studies as soon as possible, and contribute their own strength to the construction of their hometown.
Zhou Xiaobing expressed his sincere gratitude to people from all walks of life who have long cared about and supported the development of education in our county. He urged the students to always be grateful, study diligently, work hard, and acquire excellent skills, and actively give back to the society after academic success, and pass on the baton of love.
It is understood that the Yiling Yifeng Charity Association of the county was formerly the Wangfeng Township Love Education Foundation, which was founded in 2012. Over the years, the association has insisted on field visits and investigations, and has carried out spring and autumn scholarship activities for students from poor families and students with good character and academic performance every year.
