Helsinki Airport has changed one of the main requirements for the carriage of liquids in hand luggage and has significantly increased the possible volume, reported FinnAir press service on 26 June.

As of June 28, Vantaa Airport lifts restrictions on carrying liquids in hand luggage: you can carry up to two liters of liquid with you, including in containers larger than 100 ml. Moreover, containers during the inspection will no longer need to be taken out, as, by the way, laptops, cameras and other electronics.

All thanks to the latest scanners. A Fontanka reader captured the wonder machine on video.

“I was allowed not to bend the laptop and take water,” he writes.

But the innovations concern only those who fly directly from Helsinki. For connecting flights, the requirements are the same.

A similar new carry-on scanning technology is currently used only at a very limited number of major European airports and at some US airports.
