Henstedt-Ulzburg (em) Blood donations are important because around 15,000 blood donations are needed in Germany every day. The six DRK blood donation services in Germany ensure a safe and secure supply of blood and blood products around the clock, 365 days a year.
The DRK Henstedt-Ulzburg eV local association also tries to provide the best possible support locally and organizes five events a year together with the North-East blood donation service and BürgerAktiv. The upcoming blood donation on September 5th from 3:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the community center in Henstedt-Ulzburg is a very special one. Not only does the event fall on a Thursday for once, it is also the date on which the local association takes part in the blood donation service’s helper challenge and tries to recruit as many new donors as possible.
Donating blood takes around 45 minutes and is a relatively small effort for the donor. However, the help that half a litre of blood can mean for patients is immeasurable and often life-saving.
The local association would be delighted if as many citizens as possible would come and donate blood. Every donation counts and the willingness of the people of Henstedt-Ulzburg to help sets an example. Be there and donate blood!
