A teenager claims to be Madeleine McCann, the three-year-old girl who disappeared in Praia Da Luz, Portugal, in 2007. She asks for a DNA test to verify her intuition.
It’s a real twist that no one expected. A young German claims to be Madeleine, known as “Maddie”, a three-year-old girl who has been missing since May 3, 2007, while on vacation with her parents in Portugal. Everything had been put in place to find her, but sixteen years later, the little one is still nowhere to be found.
It’s on his Instagram page iammadeleinemccan that this 21-year-old German girl claims she is Madeleine McCann. “Help me, I need to talk to Kate and Gerry McCann. I think I might be Madeleine. I need a DNA test“, she writes on her account which brings together nearly 586,000 people.
According to this teenager, there is no doubt: she would indeed be Maddie. And indeed, her Instagram page is full of photo montages intended to demonstrate the physical similarities between her alleged parents, Gerry and Kate McCann, and herself: moles, teeth, eyes,… Everything goes.
She also explains that the doubt regarding her story was born following a discussion with her grandmother. “She told me that my family knew that I had been hurt by a pedophile“, she explains in one of her videos. She then specifies that one of the suspects registered on the official site findmadeleine.com look like his potential aggressor.
According to our colleagues from CNews, the girl announced that she was in contact with the parents of Madeleine McCann. However, the latter would not have confirmed this information.
