Abu Suhail (64-year-old Pakistani) is unable to renew the health insurance cards of his wife and five children, noting that four of his children suffer from chronic thalassemia and need periodic follow-up and special medical care.

Abu Suhail’s wife suffers from chronic diseases, and she also needs treatment and continuous follow-up. However, the husband’s financial capabilities and difficult circumstances do not allow him to secure the amount required to renew health insurance cards for his family members, so that they can continue receiving their treatments.

Abu Sahil appealed to the good people to help him afford the cost of renewing health insurance cards, so that his children’s health conditions would not deteriorate and their lives would be endangered.

He explained that he has five children, four of whom have thalassemia, and they need treatment and continuous medical follow-up, because delaying treatment exposes their lives to many complications that will not be easy to treat.

He added, “My wife also suffers from diabetes (type one), and she needs daily insulin injections to control the disease.”

The father added that the problem is his low monthly income, as he receives a salary that is not sufficient to meet the basic requirements of the house.

Abu Suhail explained: “I worked for a private company in Al Ain for years, but the company decided regarding two years ago to terminate the services of its employees, due to its loss and bankruptcy. I searched for another job, and got a job as a salesman with a salary of 4,000 dirhams, but my financial situation deteriorated a lot, because my new salary did not meet my children’s daily needs. The problem is that I am the only breadwinner for my family.”

And the father continued, “I feel very sad regarding the condition of my children and my wife, while I stand idly by. I cannot pay the costs of their treatment, or renew their health insurance cards.”

He emphasized that he had asked for the help of family and friends, but their financial capabilities were small and did not allow them to provide real assistance.

The “Abu Sahil” family needs 8,768 dirhams to renew health insurance cards, so that its members can receive the necessary treatments for them.

The father appealed to benevolent people and those with merciful hearts to extend their hands to help him manage the cost of renewing health insurance cards to save his family members from danger.

Thalassemia

A genetic disorder in the blood cells that is described as a low level of hemoglobin and a decrease in the number of red blood cells from the normal range. The reason for the emergence of symptoms of anemia (such as stress, fatigue, etc.) is due to a lack of hemoglobin, which is the substance in red blood cells responsible for carrying oxygen.
