Eager for the trip, Helly Tong makes an interesting point: “When I travel, I often associate different perspectives. After spending time at home due to the epidemic, our perspective and outlook on life have all changed. The core of tourism in me lies in: culture, economy, spirit.

The gloom comes from our being cautious. Many people thought that following the pandemic, the economy would develop more, but supply and demand have changed. Today we are open to many things that we might not have predicted. It’s clear that there are changing sprouts on the surface below like an ice sheet that humans need science to predict those numbers, thereby being able to predict what happens in the future. Going back to 2023, this is the year that economists are very cautious.”

However, she argues that culture is related to economics. “Culture is not something too big. I think culture is like a locality, we sit here and use this language to communicate. This trip is an opportunity for me to change, because when we step out of the safe circle, we recognize the change and embrace it. This is something that makes me look forward to but not jump to conclusions. Because we are all ready to erase the old concept and re-concept what was in the past,” added Helly Tong.
