On the occasion of her International Women’s Daythe HELLENiQ ENERGY takes over and this year series of initiatives which aim at professional empowerment, reducing barriers and limiting discrimination once morest vulnerable women. In the context of the Corporate Responsibility Program, it proceeds directly to creation, renovation and maintenance of Protection, Empowerment and Skills Acquisition Centresfor more than 660 vulnerable women and their children.
Objective of the actions that will be implemented in collaboration with the Hellenic Red Cross in Athens, the Irida Women’s Center in Thessaloniki and the Shelter for Battered Women of the Municipality of Komotiniis to ensure the independent and dignified living of these women and to provide the supplies for a better future for them and their children.
More specifically, HELLENiQ ENERGY will undertake in collaboration with the Hellenic Red Cross creation of space for Multiple Social Actions in Athens, which will be utilized by the Athens Multipurpose Center of the Agency’s Social Welfare Sector. Educational programs, creative employment workshops, remedial teaching, social tutoring and skills acquisition courses will be implemented in the center. The space will be enhanced with special equipment and the required logistical infrastructure to cover the increased needs of the center in order to offer more apprenticeships.
In Thessalonikirespectively, the premises of the “Irida” Women’s Center are beautified, which provides social welfare, legal support, personal and professional development services to vulnerable women, as well as pre-school development programs for their children. Through this action, the Center further upgrades its services and, in a pleasant environment, continues to offer, to women who really need it, the necessary supplies for their personal and professional empowerment, so that they can become independent, significantly improving the living conditions for themselves and their families.
End, in Komotini the Group cooperates with the Municipality of the city supporting the Hospitality Guesthouse Abused Women’s, the only similar structure operating in the Region of Eastern Macedonia – Thrace. It is a safe haven providing psychological, work and social support for women – victims of violence and multiple discrimination, as well as for their children. The interventions that will be implemented will form a comfortable family environment for the guests and will contribute to the creative employment of their children during their stay.
All of the above actions are part of the initiatives implemented in recent years by the leading energy Group in collaboration with the Local Government and the competent Agencies, with the aim of creating favorable conditions for balanced social development and the inclusion of vulnerable social groups.

The action of HELLENiQ ENERGY contributes significantly to the achievement of the main goal of the Hostel, which is none other than the relief of women who have suffered violence, as well as their children.”
