Helldivers 2 is off to a great start on Steam and has a higher concurrent player count than any other PlayStation Studios game released on PC. According to SteamDB, the record was 84,207 users.
With this number, Helldivers 2 surpasses other Sony successes such as God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition, The Last of Us Part I, being PlayStation Studios’ biggest success on Valve’s platform to date.

Although the PC numbers are a reason to celebrate for Sony, the players’ evaluation showed dissatisfaction due to technical problems. On Steam, only 52% of reviews were positive last Thursday (8).
However, following some updates, the number of positive reviews rose to 74%. The consensus among complaints is server issues, with the studio promising a major fix in the coming days.
The Helldivers franchise began on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PS Vita and PC in 2015, inspired by Starship Troopers and focusing on cooperative gameplay.
