Hellblade 2: Senua’s Saga shows the tip of its nose once again… On the occasion of the Xbox Game Showcase 2023, the development studio Ninja Theory unveiled a new trailer for the sequel to the game Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, released in 2017. We take stock!

Hellblade 2 : Senua’s Saga gives news again! After the Game Developer Conference (GDC)it is on the occasion of Xbox Game Showcasewhich was held on June 11, 2023, that the highly anticipated game developed by Ninja Theory once again showed the tip of its nose by unveiling a new trailer enticing.

While the official release date is still unknown (only a small 2024 has been announced), fans are eager to learn more about this promising title which will be released exclusively on Xbox Series X|S et PC. After an announcement three years ago, the studio has remained relatively low-key, releasing some impressive videos during the Game Awardsbut without revealing much information about the gameplay.

On the occasion of the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2023, Ninja Theory took the opportunity to share a technical demo of Senua’s Saga : Hellblade 2highlighting the technological advances of the engine Unreal Engine 5. In this demo, we could admire the hyperrealistic rendering of the face of Senuaplayed by the actress Melina Juergens. If the lip synchronization still betrays the fact that it is a video game, the overall quality of the animations is to be welcomed and suggests a title that meets expectations in terms of visual and sound rendering.

Note that Hellblade 2 : Senua’s Saga pushes the boundaries of real-time facial animation with Unreal Engine 5as presented during the GDC 2023. The game’s heroine, Senua, also gives us a glimpse of the plot when she announces that she wants to destroy the gods. In the meantime, patience is required to discover this promising title and its captivating universe.
