Two people are in critical condition and a third is still trapped following a helicopter crashed in Los Angeles County near Highway 39 and East Fork Road, according to the Fire Department.
The helicopter crashed in the Los Angeles National Forest. The aircraft fell between trees and just meters from a road, according to aerial images.
At least two people were assisted by an air ambulance and taken to a trauma center, authorities said.
It is not yet clear if the helicopter is from the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, although it has the logo of this police department. This type of helicopter is generally used during rescues.
For now, the causes of the accident and the identities of the victims are unknown.
