An extraordinary experience. This is what Hélène Mannarino experienced during the filming of Messmer, the world record broadcast this Friday, April 7 on TF1 where she was invited by the fascinator to go on stage. In the company of Baptiste Giabiconi and Amandine Petit, the presenter of It’s Canteloup saw his body stiffen under the impulse of the hypnotist. Solid as a rock, she was positioned in a prone position between two chairs and Bellair, Messmer’s companion, climbed on top of her. Following this ordeal, at the end of the program, Hélène Mannarino was evacuated for a few moments in order to come to her senses. “I’m so receptive that I needed to get out, I needed to find the people who had accompanied me“, she confides to Tele-Leisure.

Tele-Leisure : Even before the start of the show, you didn’t feel well… How do you explain that?
Hélène Mannarino : I saw Messmer before the show started, he wanted to see if we were receptive or not. He has already hypnotized me several times on set, he hypnotized me at the end of his Unexpected portrait on Europe 1, so we have an extremely strong connection. As soon as I look at it, there’s something going on. When I move in, I am already connected with him. I don’t know what he’s going to do to us, there’s a real question mark.

Is there a moment when you lose control of your means?
It happens gradually, you don’t necessarily realize it. We’re aware of what’s going on but I can’t control it. I felt more and more tired, I really felt sleepy at some point when I was sitting down and hadn’t gone on stage yet. I felt the body giving up, the head spinning, the desire to sleep. I don’t realize, I just see that I don’t pick up much anymore.

You plank between two chairs and Messmer’s wife climbs on top of you. How did you experience this sequence?
I am aware of everything, I remember everything but I do not control anything. I am not master of my body. It’s Messmer who has control of what I do. But I hear the comments of my comrades, I am not asleep. I don’t feel any pain, I remember clenching my fists very hard, I remember the feeling of his partner’s foot on my stomach. But I’m not hurt.

What memories do you have of the show?
It is an extraordinary experience. I found it amazing and I was impressed by the show even if I did not catch everything. We go through a lot of emotions. With the personalities, we knew each other, and there was a lot of benevolence between us. We were all connected together, it was important to support each other. Besides, I was very proud to see Karima Charni in this exercise! Behind, I called my relatives and explain to them what happened.

Are we afraid of Messmer when we participate in such a show?
Messmer is an extremely kind and benevolent person, he respects and listens, he does not go beyond our limits. At one point, I walked out during the show because I mightn’t stay. When I came back, I saw in his eyes that he was asking me if I was okay. He’s not a wizard!

What happened ?
There was a feeling of suffocation on my part. I had to go out. I am so receptive that I needed to get out, I was no longer in control of anything, I needed to find the people who had accompanied me. It was a need for air.
Are you ready to try the experience once more?
With Messmer, yes, because we’re not in danger. Under the conditions in which we shot with Arthur, guys, yes. On the other hand, I will make sure not to have a shoot the next day and to be able to go on vacation (laughs). Maybe not right away… but yes!
