Heihachi Mishima is coming to Tekken 8 as a DLC character

EVO 2024 was beyond amazing, not only for its close competitions with the best of the best in the Fighting Games community, but also for the incredible announcements presented during the intermission of each tournament. For this occasion, Bandai Namco revealed Heihachi Mishima as the next DLC character for Tekken 8.

As you can see in the trailerthe King of Iron Fist is more alive than ever to return to Tekken in Fall 2024. The DLC is the third since the game’s launch, and brings back fan-favorite characters like Eddy Gordo and Lidia Sobieska

And if that wasn’t enough, for the first time in the franchise’s 30-year history, Tekken 8 adds a brand new chapter to its story mode, expanding on the storyline of “The Dark Awakens,” which continues the feud between the Kazama and Mishima families. The “The Dark Awakens” story mode expansion will be available as a free update for all players.

Tekken 8 makes way for its World Tour

Following the epic conclusion of the EVO 2024 Finals, which resulted in a new champion, Arslan Ash, the company has also announced the location of the Tekken World Tour 2024 Finals. The Finals will be held in Tokyo, Japan on December 8, 2024, with the group stages for global and regional qualification beginning on December 5.

In our review of Tekken 8, we mentioned that it “brings the renewal that this franchise needed. The warmth of this product is not only in the Heat of the battle, but in the soul that is felt in each of its modes. Fun, competitive, and accessible. Even if you are just a fan of the story or if you want to win international events, the essence of TEKKEN is back and in full force.” You can read it in full through this link.
