Ahmed Hegazy, the defender of the Egyptian national team, praised his colleague Mohamed Salah, the captain of the team, pointing out that there is no difference between the old and new players in the ranks of the Pharaohs.
Egypt is preparing to face Niger tomorrow evening, Friday, at the Alexandria Stadium, in a friendly match, the first for the team under the leadership of Portuguese coach Roy Vitoria, and then to meet Liberia next Tuesday.
Hegazy said, in a press conference held this evening, Thursday, “I am happy to be with the Egyptian national team, and we are taking advantage of this period to achieve harmony between the elements of the team.”
The defender of the Saudi Jeddah Federation added, “The atmosphere is great in the camp of the Egyptian team, and all the players are committed and have a desire to provide an outstanding performance.”
Hegazy stressed that “there is no difference between old and new in the Egyptian national team, and everyone aims for the team’s interest,” noting that the team will fight for all tournaments in order to make the Egyptian fans happy.
He concluded his statements by saying that “Mohamed Salah is the captain of the team, and he is one of the best players in the world, and his presence adds to all.”
It is noteworthy that the Egyptian team is preparing to face Malawi next March in the third and fourth rounds of the qualifiers for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
