Hebrew media: The Israeli Cabinet approved the next phase of the fighting in Lebanon

The media reported that the next stage was approved after security consultations conducted by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a limited security meeting.

Ministers were also instructed not to talk about the situation in Lebanon after the news that circulated about the start of the ground military operation in Lebanon.

In this context, local media reported that ministers in the mini-council were forced to sign a pledge not to leak information about the escalation discussion in Lebanon.

An RT correspondent said that the bombing targeted Al-Ruwais, Al-Laylaki, Bir Al-Abd and the vicinity of Beirut International Airport.

She explained that the raids targeted “Al-Kadhim Project” and “Al-Amir Project,” indicating that each project includes a large number of residential buildings.

Earlier, Israeli army spokesman Avichai Adraee sent an urgent warning to all residents in a number of buildings in the Al-Laylaki, Haret Hreik, and Burj Al-Barajneh neighborhoods, and asked them to evacuate immediately.

Adraee said in a video statement: “You are located near the interests and facilities of the terrorist faction, and therefore the IDF will work against them forcefully. For your safety and the safety of your family members, you must evacuate the buildings immediately and stay away from them for a distance of no less than 500 meters.”

On Monday evening, Israeli army spokesman Adraee announced the imposition of a closed military zone in the Metula, Misgav Am and Kafr Giladi areas, based on an assessment of the situation.

The spokesman explained in a statement that “entry to these areas is prohibited by orders from the Israeli army.”

The army statement stated that this announcement goes into effect on September 30, 2024 and ends on October 6, 2024.

Maariv newspaper indicated that this announcement may be a prelude to the start of a ground operation in the war with Lebanon.
