Hebrew media: A new and dangerous security scandal shakes Netanyahu’s throne

She pointed out that “the case began circulating last July after the former military advisor to Netanyahu presented the allegations of the judicial advisor to the government.” Meanwhile, Yedioth Ahronoth quoted sources as saying, “The former military secretary accuses him of changing the texts of protocols for sensitive sessions.”

The “Lahav 433” unit of the Israeli police confirmed in a statement yesterday, Tuesday, that it “has been conducting a criminal investigation for several months related to events since the beginning of the war.”

According to the statement, “As part of the investigation, a number of public investigative activities were conducted, and within the framework of this case, it is expected that a senior official in the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will be questioned.”

In July, the Ynet website revealed “fears that officials in Netanyahu’s office during the war changed, or as they say, tampered with some of the protocols or texts of cabinet discussions.”

The website added, “There is concern in the Israeli army and the defense establishment about attempts to change the texts and protocols of cabinet discussions and even telephone conversations about security updates with decision-makers, most notably Prime Minister Netanyahu.”

He stated, “The Prime Minister’s former military secretary, Major General Avi Gil, sent a letter to the government’s legal advisor regarding this issue several months ago.”

He explained, “Since the beginning of the war, officials have found gaps between some texts and between discussions and conversations, and individuals in the Prime Minister’s Office secretly contacted the Prime Minister’s Military Secretary, Avi Gil, and warned that officials in Netanyahu’s office during the war had tried to change the protocols or texts retroactively after several “Meetings.”
