Heavyweight confrontations.. Europa League draw

Following in the footsteps of the Champions League, it was decided to conduct the Europa League draw in the new season by computer, instead of the usual manual method in previous years.

The tournament will be watched by many due to the presence of a number of major teams that were unable to qualify for the Champions League, such as the English team Manchester United.

The draw witnessed a fierce confrontation between Fenerbahce, led by coach Jose Mourinho, and his former team, Manchester United, while Roma was in a direct confrontation with Tottenham.

According to the new system approved by the European Union for continental club competitions, the new version of the European League will witness the presence of 36 teams instead of 32, a first of its kind in the history of the European Club League.

The group system was cancelled and replaced by a league system that includes 36 teams, divided into 4 pots (4 levels according to the UEFA classification), and then each team faces two opponents from each level, to play 8 different matches (4 at home and 4 away).

After 3 stages of the preliminary qualifiers, 12 teams qualified to join the 24 teams that qualified directly to the league stage with direct tickets, according to the distribution of tickets approved by the European Football Association for the leagues.

The results of the draw for the European League stage are as follows:

Europa League First Division Matches:

Manchester United: 4 home matches (Rangers, PAOK, Bodo/Glimt, FC Twente Enschede), and 4 away matches (Porto, Fenerbahce, Viktoria Plzen, Steaua Bucharest).
