Heavy rains tomorrow, accompanied by thunderstorms, leading to the formation of torrential rains on the roads

The Estimates Department of the Meteorological Authority in Lebanon expected, in the evening weather bulletin, that an air depression accompanied by cold air masses would dominate Lebanon and the eastern basin of the Mediterranean, as of tomorrow morning, Monday, which would lead to heavy rain, snow, active winds, and thunderstorms. Its peak is at noon, when the level of snowfall decreases to the level of 1,500 meters, and continues until Tuesday morning, when it recedes to the east, and the weather gradually stabilizes, and returns to fluctuation locally on Wednesday evening.

The average temperature for December in Beirut ranges from 13° to 21° Celsius.

The expected weather in Lebanon:

Monday: Mostly cloudy with an additional significant decrease in temperature and thick fog at the heights, with bad visibility at times. Heavy rains fall at times and are accompanied by thunderstorms that lead to the formation of torrential rains on the roads. We also warn of hail. The wind speed intensifies from the followingnoon, reaching speeds of 65 km/h. Snow falls at an altitude of 1,600 meters and above during the day. The level of snow falls to 1,400 meters, especially in the north of the country in the evening. Rain and snow lessen during the night.

Tuesday: Partly cloudy with fog on the highlands and temperatures remaining relatively low below their seasonal rates. Occasional scattered rain falls during the morning period in the interior areas, gradually turning during the day to few clouds with a slight rise in temperatures. We also warn of the formation of ice on the mountain and internal roads that Above 1600 meters during the night.

Wednesday: Slightly cloudy to partly cloudy with high temperatures and local fog at the heights. We warn once morest the formation of snow on mountain roads during the morning period, starting from an altitude of 1500 meters, in the evening it turns cloudy and sporadic rain falls sometimes, especially in the northern regions, with some snow at an altitude of 1700 meters.
