A heavy rain fell this Thursday followingnoon in the Caracas metropolitan area and caused flooding in several streets, avenues and communities, as reported on social networks.
It was also accompanied by gusts of wind that caused several awnings at a fair located in Plaza Venezuela to “fly away.”
Mainly the west of Caracas was the area most affected by the rainfall.

In addition, several stations of the Caracas Metro were not providing service, so many people had to travel on foot in the middle of the downpour.
Sectors such as El Paraíso, El Valle and Antímano were seriously affected, since rivers of water ran through the place due to the collapse of the drainages.
