As the weather continues to be unpredictable, the authorities have requested the drivers to limit their travel to essentials and drive with utmost caution and strictly follow traffic rules.
The authorities have warned that the people in the northern regions, which are likely to experience more rains, should be especially careful. Northern regions receive heavier rainfall than other regions. Sharjah Municipality has instructed to temporarily close all parks in Sharjah from Monday due to heavy rain. Special services of rain emergency teams have been deployed in areas where construction work is going on and areas prone to waterlogging. Many roads in Sharjah are flooded due to heavy rains. Due to this, there is a huge traffic jam on the road.
Following the rains, the average temperature reached 19 to 21 degrees Celsius in most parts of the country. At Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah, one of the highest mountain ranges in the UAE, the temperature reached 6.4 degrees Celsius. Many people avoid traveling outdoors to avoid health problems caused by cold weather. Visits to places like the Global Village are likely to be adversely affected by weather conditions. Some companies have introduced the work from home system in areas where it is difficult to reach the office on time due to traffic jams due to rain. The Meteorological Center has warned that it will rain till Friday.
