Great sadness has spread to the local community of Evia the death of the two young children, of John and Eleni, in a traffic accident that happened a few 24 hours ago.
Relatives and friends will say the last “goodbye” to 20-year-old John, tomorrow, (Tuesday 3/9) at 18.00, in the Holy Church of Paravouniotissa. Information from evima.gr states that the body of 20-year-old Eleni will be transported to Albania, where her funeral will take place.
It all happened at around 5.30pm on Friday afternoonwhen their car collided with a truck. The severity of the collision was such that the car was turned into a shapeless mass of ironwork.
The unfortunate young people were taken by ambulance to the Chalkida Hospital, but the doctors were unable to offer them any help.
George was especially loved by his teammates, in the team he played for. That day he had asked permission not to go to training…
“He was a kid very loved by the team. Yesterday at training he couldn’t come, he had asked me for permission. If he had been in training, things would have been different”, the president of the Apollon Eretrias team, Giorgos Tappes, tells Star.
