“I’m going to miss him a lot.” These were the first words of a devastated Clint Eastwood, after the death of his partner Christina Santera was made public.
The cause of the 61-year-old woman’s death has not been released, while a spokesperson for Warner Bros. told The Hollywood Reporter that “there will be no further information as Clint Eastwood privately mourns her loss.”
The couple had been in a relationship since 2014.
Eastwood in his statement also emphasized that “Kristina was a wonderful, loving woman.”
The couple met when Christina was 33 years old and was working as a meter in a restaurant, in the hotel where the legendary actor was staying. Despite their age difference, their love blossomed quickly.
Little was known publicly about their relationship, but Christina was present at various film premieres and awards of the award-winning actor. Santera was first photographed with Eastwood in June 2014, with people close to the actor claiming she had moved into the $20 million mansion Eastwood had built for his ex-wife, Dina.
They last appeared in public together in 2019, while in November 2022 they appeared in a joint photoshoot with Clint Eastwood’s daughters.
Santera was previously married to Paul Wainscott (in 2003) for just 11 months – having a tumultuous cohabitation that resulted in her being arrested for domestic violence.
91 years old today, Clint Eastwood, is the father of eight children from six different women.
