| Heavy fighting in the Premier League

London: Fight for the title in English Premier League football. The battle was intensified when Liverpool beat Everton 2-0 at home.

With this victory, Liverpool narrowed their gap with first-placed Manchester City to one point. City have 80 points from 33 games and Liverpool 79 points. There are only five games left in the league. Everton, who have just 29 points from 32 games, remain in the relegation zone. Watford are 19th with 22 points from 33 games, followed by Norwich City with 21 points. The ball was in the possession of the Liverpool players for 82% of the match at Anfield. Defensively, the Everton players dominated the ball with only 17% of the time. They fired a total of four shots into the goal. On the other hand, 11 shots were fired for 11 goals.

Defense was the only goal of Frank Lampad’s disciples. For that, they chose the 4-3-3 formation. For Everton not to let Liverpool score in the first half. Liverpool failed to score a single shot.

In the second half Jurgen Klopp’s disciples completely turned to attack. Jordan Henderson, Louis Diaz and Divok Origi were on the field. They took the lead in the 62nd minute through defender Andrew Robertson. Robertson headed in a cross from Mohamed Salah. After the goal, Everton started the attack but did not win. Origi’s header in the 85th minute sealed the victory for Liverpool. The header came from an assist by Louis Diaz.

Defeat to Barcelona

Madrid: The second consecutive defeat to former champions Barcelona in the Spanish La Liga football league. Rio Vallacano shocked Barcelona at home with their new club. Alvaro Garcia Vallakano scored in the seventh minute.

Attempts to score by Barcelona were inaccurate. It was not for Xavi’s disciples to create opportunities or use the opportunities created. The ball was in the hands of the Barcelona players 71 percent of the time. However, the defeat left Savi exhausted.

This is Barcelona’s third defeat in the last four matches. Barcelona’s defeat will benefit Real. If they win with one point, they will win the La Liga title. Real have 78 points from 33 matches and second-placed Barcelona have 63 points.
