Working under roofs, on top of scaffolding, near industrial ovens or kitchens can become dangerous above a certain temperature. Professions particularly exposed to climate change will have to reinvent themselves as the periods of heat waves promise to be more and more intense with temperatures that more and more regularly exceed 40°C.

Officially, seven people died in France during the summer of 2022 as a result of the heat wave in their workplace, but these figures might be underestimated. What are these main risks? What does the law say to better protect workers? What are companies already doing?
