On Thursday morning, the heat wave broke in Karachi. Light drizzle occurred in many areas. Citizens are enjoying the pleasant change in weather conditions.
It should be noted that the meteorological department had said yesterday that there may be drizzle and light rain in the city of Quaid today (Thursday). The intensity of heat continued till late last night.
When citizens left their homes to go to work on Thursday morning, they were pleasantly surprised to find that the forecast was cloudy and it looked like it would rain at any moment. In a few areas, the rains have come down to such an extent that the air has become cool due to the rain. Monsoon rains are expected to begin across the country in the second week of this month. Heavy rains are also not out of the question in Karachi.
The weather is mixed in most parts of the country. Somewhere it is very hot and somewhere it is raining. In addition to Kasur and its adjoining areas, some areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa bordering Punjab have received light rain, which has broken the heat wave.
The overall heat stress is maintained in all the four provinces. Apart from Sibi, Zhob, Quetta and other places of Balochistan, the heat wave continues in Nawabshah, Larkana, Badin and many other cities in Sindh.
