During the next few days, we will remain under the influence of warm continental currents, explains the Royal Meteorological Institute (IRM). Temperatures will exceed 25 degrees in the plains at least until the end of next week.
Tomorrow Sunday, a stormy area in northern France will partly overflow into our country. Upwellings of very hot air will precede and accompany this structure with, consequently, maxima close to or slightly above 30 degrees.
The risk of a heat wave (at least 5 consecutive days with maximums equal to or greater than 25ºC including at least 3 days with maximums reaching or exceeding 30ºC) is therefore significant. The IRM has therefore decided to extend its yellow alert until at least next Wednesday.
With such temperatures, the following minimum rules should be applied to the elderly and debilitated: make them drink more and do not leave them in direct sunlight. Be careful.
