It’s the troll of the day, and it’s signed the Miami Heat. A few hours before facing the Spurs live in Mexico City, the Florida franchise trolled the NBA following a fine this week. Results ? All the players of the team are announced uncertain.
You provoke Erik Spoelstra and Pat Riley, the sanction is immediate.
Let’s give all the elements to understand the story.
Earlier this week, the Heat traveled to Oklahoma City to try to defeat the Thunder. A match won by Miami thanks to the exploits of Tyler Herro, however the happiness of victory was accompanied by a nasty fine. But why a fine?
Well apparently, as the NBA announced yesterday, the injury report sent by the Heat ahead of the meeting at OKC was not entirely clear. Players were more or less uncertain, more or less guaranteed to be present, and the League wants its 30 teams to play the game every evening by providing a detailed report of the workforce on the track.
Per NBA: “The Miami Heat has been fined $25,000 for violating league injury reporting rules. The Heat failed to disclose an accurate game availability status for several players prior to its game vs. Oklahoma City on Dec. 14 at Paycom Center.”

With a fine of $25,000 on the counter, let’s say that there were many sighs in the franchise upon receiving the email.
However, there was a great opportunity to seize, even if it meant sending a message back to the NBA.
Indeed, this weekend is a historic moment that awaits us since the Heat and the Spurs will face each other in Mexico City, as part of the matches played outside the USA and Canada this season. A bit like us in a month with the Paris Game, except that it’s before Christmas that Mexican fans will be served. And who says historic meeting necessarily says everyone at attention.
Wellshould not tickle the Heat and its medical staff.
The 17 players in the squad were therefore announced as uncertain, ahead of the meeting on Saturday evening.
Choose your favorite word, between probable, not sure, maybe unavailable and really not great, but the message is clear.
We will wait to see who will show up on the floor tonight, what is certain is that the NBA must have greatly appreciated this public response from the Heat.
See you in a few hours in Mexico, with a total surprise regarding the players present on the floor. And a magnificent 10/10 in trolling.
