Heat exchangers that optimize your energy efficiency

In a context of sharply rising energy costs, Alfa Laval is deploying off-the-shelf solutions to improve the energy efficiency of processes.

“We can act directly on 40% of the bill and the carbon footprint. This first requires appropriate maintenance of the exchangers because, in many cases, the heat exchange is not optimized. This accelerates clogging and leads to overconsumption and hidden costs,” says Jean-Jérôme Semat, director Alfa Laval France & North West Africa.

MAINTENANCE, A LEVER FOR ENERGY EFFICIENCY

The expert teams of the Alfa Laval maintenance centers located in Grenoble, Marseille and Rennes, carry out a diagnosis and recommend optimization solutions: change of maintenance cycle, repair, adaptation of the thermal program in phase with the customer’s current process .

”Faced with repeated clogging, our teams can recommend a redesign of the exchanger which is simply no longer correctly sized. The result, for the customer, is reduced energy consumption, optimized maintenance costs and less CO2 emitted!”

SOLUTIONS TO RECOVER ENERGY

Beyond maintenance, solutions to reduce energy consumption while ensuring a rapid return on investment are possible.

”The government’s recent DECARB FLASH call for projects listed 31 actions eligible for funding. For 17 of them, Alfa Laval equipment can help decarbonize your business and lower your energy bill.”

The installation of compact, high-efficiency heat exchangers to recover heat and reinject it into the industrial process is one of the solutions mastered by Alfa Laval and simple to implement. ”The investment is less than 100,000 euros and the energy bill can be reduced by 400 to 500,000 euros per year!”

And because water is also a precious resource, Alfa Laval also offers ZLD (Zero Liquid Discharge) devices to recover water for reuse in the process or for cleaning.
