Heartbroken: the first public appearance of the Windsors since the death of the Queen (not without the “disgraced” prince)

Two days following the tragic death of the British monarch, family members first appeared in public in an expanded format. The Windsors attended a church service at Balmoral, where Queen Elizabeth II died on September 8. Princes Andrew and Edward, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, Countess Sophie of Wessex, Lady Louise Windsor, Zara and Peter Phillips attended the private ceremony. The Windsors gathered at Craty Kirk, a small parish church in Scotland where Queen Elizabeth herself loved to visit.
