Kyiv studio GSC Game World changed the name of her future game without official notice S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl. On the page in Steam she is now is listed like STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl, with the Ukrainian spelling of the name of the city, near which the legendary Soviet nuclear power plant is located.
The renaming of Chernobyl to Chornobyl, however, has not yet been extended to all these games. Pre-order is still available on Heart of Chernobyl. The developers also did not abandon Russian localization, it still acts as the main one along with English and Ukrainian.
STALKER 2: The Heart of Chernobyl is scheduled to release on December 8, 2022. These plans have not yet been officially canceled, although things may change.
