Hearing of Tosha Khana case against Nawaz Sharif adjourned till December 20

The Accountability Court of Islamabad has adjourned the Tosha Khana case against Pakistan Muslim League-N leader and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif till December 20. Judge Muhammad Bashir heard the Tosha Khana case against former President Asif Zardari, former Prime Ministers Nawaz Sharif and Yousuf Raza Gilani in the Accountability Court.

In the Tosha Khana case in the Accountability Court of Islamabad, the lawyer of the former prime minister has argued that Nawaz Sharif did not ask for a car.

PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif’s lawyer Qazi Misbah and pleader Rana Irfan appeared in the accountability court while NAB prosecutor Irfan Bhola and Sohail Arif appeared in the court.

Lawyer Safai Qazi Misbah said in the court that Nawaz Sharif has been involved in the investigation, questionnaire was provided, NAB reference was made in 2019, at that time Nawaz Sharif was very ill.

He said that there was no demand to take the car from Nawaz Sharif, it is on record that Nawaz Sharif did not ask for the car, Nawaz Sharif has submitted the answer to the questionnaire.

The NAB prosecutor said in the court that the investigating officer told that the answer has been submitted on behalf of Nawaz Sharif, further action will be taken, it will take some time.

Lawyer Safai said that in the reference that was prepared, Nawaz Sharif’s car was written which has no record of its return, there is no document that Nawaz Sharif has asked for any car.

Judge Muhammad Bashir asked the NAB prosecutor what will be done about it now? The NAB prosecutor said that now they will see Nawaz Sharif’s statement and then further action will be taken.

Later, the accountability court adjourned the Tosha Khana case hearing till December 20.
