Ideal as a snack for any time of the day, cereal bars are a great option and provide a large amount of nutrients in a single bite.
Lali from Difabio’s alimentos integrales shares this recipe that is very simple to make and that, due to its accessibility to the ingredients, can be prepared at any time of the year.

To eat at home or give as a gift: an easy recipe for a healthy cereal bar.

Ingredients

300 gr oats

2 grated apples

50 g of raisins (optional)

1 tablespoon sesame seeds

4 tbsp Sunflower Oil

2 pinch of salt

1 spoon of cinnamon

1 tbsp vanilla extract

optional chopped walnuts or almonds

4 tablespoons of honey (at the end) diluted in warm water or 1⁄4 cup organic brown sugar

Elaboration

Hydrate the oats for 1 hour in kefir or orange juice (which will add flavor and nutrients). Mix the ingredients (except honey) and distribute the entire dough on an oiled plate, the thickness that we like best, and mark the cut with a spatula.

We bake in a medium oven regarding 15 to 20 min depending on the strength of the oven. At the end of baking, spread the honey diluted in water over the bars.
