Healthy Eating in the Therapeutic Center

On the occasion of World Food Day, which is celebrated on October 16, the team of the Provincial Therapeutic Center’s Vegetable Garden Workshop carried out a series of activities, in which the protagonists were the users. The counseling of healthy nutrition It was in charge of Ms. Carolina Villagra, who emphasized the benefits of incorporating vegetables, fruits and hydration with water, in eating habits.

Users made fruit and vegetable smoothies, lemonades and healthy sandwiches with lettuce from the garden, with the accompaniment of Lic. Maximiliano Bulacio, recognizing the vitamins and properties in the mixture of flavors of each ingredient, controlling good food handling practices , together with Prof. Mónica Tula and Marcela Romero, in the work of group dynamics.

The active break was led by instructor Claudio Escobedo, from the Directorate of Chronic Noncommunicable Diseases, providing coordination, balance, dance and stretching exercises.

In addition, games were played by Lucila Montivero, a psychomotrician, who did a crossword puzzle with fruits and vegetables.

It is worth mentioning that all the workshop participants participated in the activities carried out together with the director of the Therapeutic Center, Lic. Mónica Chávez.

The days ended with the tasting of the preparations and collation that the users made.
