Last Saturday, October 5, in Laayoune, the security services in the state of Laayoune security were able to arrest a person suspected of involvement in the process of “leaking” the entrance exams to the Higher Institutes of Nursing Professions and Health Technology (ISPITS).

According to available data, the Regional Examinations Committee within the Higher Institute of Nursing Professions in Laayoune raided the suspect of leaking the national exam, who works as a security guard at the same educational institution, and is in the process of providing some of the contestants with information about the exam.

The Regional Examinations Committee also made direct contact with the responsible authorities, as police officers arrested the suspect and subjected him to judicial investigation supervised by the competent public prosecution, in order to identify possible extensions of this activity and arrest all those supposedly involved in it.

The results of the preliminary investigations revealed that “the issue of the leak relates to a group for instant communication “WhatsApp” at the national level, which includes approximately 1,300 members,” noting that “access to the group requires the participant to pay 2,000 dirhams to benefit from the service of selling leaked exams.”

Also, “the national WhatsApp group has been engaged, for a long time, in leaking exams for passing employment competitions and entering institutes in exchange for money,” and that “the suspect’s conversations revealed that exam materials were sent to a number of people in exchange for sums of money approximately 10,000 dirhams.” “This may result in the pursuit of a large cell of those potentially involved in this case.”

In light of this, the examination committee tightened security methods inside the examination halls on Saturday and Sunday, after discovering potential activity by doubling the frameworks charged with guarding and ensuring the normal conduct of the examinations.
